107 Devoe Street Brooklyn

2026, Brooklyn

Located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 107 Devoe St. is a residential building that reconsiders the classic typology of the New York brownstone through a contemporary proposal that is sensitive to its urban context and local regulations.

Developed in collaboration with Studio SC, the project stems from a detailed analysis of the R6B residential district in order to maximize the site’s potential and create a distinctive housing building within one of New York’s most rapidly transforming neighborhoods. The proposal explores different volumetric, typological, and construction configurations with the aim of optimizing the building’s spatial performance without significantly increasing construction costs.

The project organizes approximately 10,000 square feet of built area across five levels, integrating a range of residential typologies that respond to different inhabitant profiles. The mix includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, some with private gardens, terraces, or rooftop areas, complemented by shared amenities such as a lobby, gym, bicycle storage, package room, and general storage.

The building’s volume seeks to integrate into the characteristic urban fabric of Williamsburg, respecting the residential scale of its surroundings while introducing a contemporary architecture based on spatial efficiency, programmatic flexibility, and the quality of life of its users. The project explores new ways of inhabiting the city through a careful reading of zoning regulations, context, and the current dynamics of urban housing.
