Nidos del Río proposes a horizontal architecture organized through fragmentation, shade, and the continuity between interior and exterior. The project is conceived as a series of volumes that integrate into the landscape, making nature the main element of the spatial experience.
Located in Playa del Carmen, within a natural landscape of dense vegetation and the presence of the river, the site creates a humid, fresh, and silent atmosphere. The vegetation grows in layers, filters the light, and defines a close relationship with the surrounding environment.
The ensemble is organized through volumes that adapt to the terrain, generating a direct relationship between the living spaces, exterior paths, patios, and transitional areas. Its materiality combines stone walls and light wooden elements, establishing a contrast between the solidity of the construction and the lightness of the elements that open toward the landscape.
