Punta Morelos is integrated into an environment shaped by beach life, tropical vegetation, and its proximity to Punta Zicatela, establishing a direct relationship between domestic space, shade, and landscape.
The building brings together five apartments of different sizes, organized vertically through a sequence of terraces, open circulation areas, and patios that extend interior life toward the outdoors. Its system of levels articulates stairs, planes, and transitions in configurations that reshape the spatial experience, generating a dynamic relationship between the project’s different paths and platforms. Each unit incorporates living areas, bedrooms, terraces, and service spaces, while taking advantage of natural ventilation, daylight, and views of the surrounding context.
The materiality works with warm-toned walls, wooden louvers, integrated vegetation, and shading elements that respond to Puerto Escondido’s climate. Arches, terraces, louvers, and lightweight roofs define an architecture of restrained presence, where privacy, openness, and the tropical experience are balanced within an intimate residential complex.
